Last year, summer was the starting point for months of unrest in cities across America. As this year’s summer approaches, law enforcement is taking precautions and predicting that similar events may take place. The Wall Street Journal reports that as COVID restrictions begin phasing out and public activity increases, police departments are “bulking up patrols and implementing new tactics to prepare for what they say could be a violent summer.”
